About The Wing

The Forest Production Wing of the Telangana State Forest Department is primarily responsible for the harvesting, management, and disposal of timber and non-timber forest products. Its key activities include harvesting matured plantations, extracting bamboo, salvaging timber, maintaining Government Timber Depots (GTDs) sourced from government forests, and overseeing the issuance of transit permits through the National Transit Permit System (NTPS), among other responsibilities.

Departmental Extraction of Timber (DET) Scheme

    Activities include,

  •     Harvesting of matured plantations.
  •     Extraction of bamboo.
  •     Salvaging of timber.
  •     Maintenance of GTDs.
Issue of Online Transit Permits through NTPS

The National Transit Pass System (NTPS), introduced by the Government of India, aims to promote seamless movement of forest produce across states and facilitate Ease of Doing Business by issuing Transit Permits (TP’s) and No Objection Certificates (NoCs) online.
