The Forest Conservation (FCA) wing evaluates proposals received from User Agencies which may include Central/State Government bodies, institutions, companies, and private individuals seeking to use forest land for non-forest purposes. These proposals are scrutinized and processed by the field officers and then are forwarded to the Government of India through the respective State Governments for decision-making on granting permissions under Section 2 of the Forest Conservation Act (FCA).
