O R D E R :

 

1.In the Government order first read above, the State Government has issued orders for constitution of VANA SAMRAKSHANA SAMITHI(V.S.S.) for protection and development of degraded forests through Joint Forest Management. The essence of the Government order first read above is to secure the participation of local people, who depend on the forest for usufruct and cattle grazing, for the purpose of protection and development of Forests.

 

2.The Prl.Chief Conservator of Forests in his letter third read above, in modification of the letter 2nd read above, has proposed to constitute a State Level Committees to be named as Andhra Pradesh State Forestry Committees.

 

3.Government have examined the proposal of Prl.Chief Conservator of Forests and have decided to constitute a State Level Committee (Andhra Pradesh State Forestry Committee) as detailed below:-

 

1.Prl.Secretary, Energy, Forests, Environment, Science and Technology

       Department Chairman

 

2.Prl.Secretary, Social Welfare or his nominee Member

 

 

3.Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation Limited Member

 

4.Commissioner, Tribal Welfare Member

 

5.Director, Animal Husbandry Department Member

 

6.Director/ Commissioner, Agriculture Department Member

 

7.Managing Director, Girijan Cooperative Corporation Limited Member

 

8.Nominee of Secretary(Finance) Member

 

9.Director, Women & Child Welfare Member

 

10.Representative of Non-Governmental Organisation(Two) Member

 

11.Representative of Ministry of Environment & Forests (Govt. of India) Member

 

12.Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests of Forest Member Convenor 

 

4.This committee shall meet once in a quarter and submit its report to the Government.

 

5.The functions of the State Level Coordination Committee shall be to provide cooridination amongst various departments of the State Government connected with implementing the concept  of Joint Forest Management in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
