O R D E R:

 

         In the letter 2nd read above, Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests has submitted proposal for Constitution of

District Forestry Committee to implement Joint Forest Management at the District Level.

 

2.Government have examined the proposal of Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests and have  decided to Constitute

District Forestry Committees at District Level as follows:

 

1. District Collector Chairman

2. Project Director, District Rural Development Agency Member

3. Project Officer, Integrated Tribal Development Agency Member

4. Joint Director, Agriculture Member

5. Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry Member

6. Deputy Director, Social Welfare Member

7. All territorial Divisional Forest Officers in the District Member

8. Three Non-Governmental Organisations active in the District    and as selected by the Collector Member

9. 5 Representatives of Vana Samrakshane Samithi as     selected by the Collector Member

10. Divisional Forest Officer, Head Quarters Territorial Divisions Member

 

3.The functions of the above District Forestry Committee will be to ensure coordination between the various departments

of the Government at the District level in the process of implementation of the Joint Forest Management in the District. The District Forestry Committee should also refer matters to Andhra Pradesh State Forestry Committee as and when necessary.

 

4.The above committee once in a quarter and send their reports to the Chief Conservator of Forests and the Government

at regular intervals.
